Boulder about to get influx of hotels

Boulder Convention and Visitors Bureau

A busy Boulder street corner will see the construction of a trio of hotels, according to the Boulder County Business Report.

The corner of 26th Street and Canyon Boulevard is where Stonebridge Cos. of Englewood wants to build a 171-room Residence Inn. The company has submitted formal site review plans with the city, which wants revisions made.

A Marriott hotel is to the southeast of the Residence Inn site. To the northeast, plans are already under way for the construction of two hotels on the site of the former Eads Newsstand and Best Western Golden Buff Lodge. Denver developer Evan Makovsky intends to build a 184-room hotel and a 177-room hotel on the site.
