Isle Casino Hotel Bettendorf & Waterfront Convention Center
BETTENDORF, Iowa (KWQC) – The new land-based casino at Isle Bettendorf will be going up soon, according to the Isle of Capri. The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission approved construction plans for the land-based casino at its meeting on Thursday, April 16, 2015. It will replace the current riverboat casino on the Mississippi River.

According to a company spokesperson, Jill Alexander, they expect to begin construction as soon as they get all the necessary permits.

“The $55-60 million project includes adding approximately 82,000 square feet of gaming space, amenities and support space to the what is already one of the largest hotels in the State of Iowa,” said Alexander. “Everyone at Isle of Capri Casinos looks forward to opening day in approximately 12-14 months,” she added.

The Bettendorf project is separate from plans by the City of Davenport and its developer to move the Rhythm City Riverboat Casino from the downtown riverfront to land located near Interstate 80 and Interstate 74.
