Snowmass Touism Hires Fred Brodsky as its New Group Sales Director

Entrepreneur Fred Brodsky of Las Vegas will take the helm at Snowmass Tourism Group Sales. Brodsky has successfully grown three hospitality companies into multi-million dollar businesses with his high energy and keen understanding of meetings and events, and now brings his drive and business expertise to Snowmass. The groups and meetings industry is a core economic segment of Snowmass Village, a world class ski and four season resort located nine miles from Aspen, Colorado.

Snowmass Village, Colorado, renowned for its ski mountain and its year-round vacation experience, is also celebrated as an impeccable host destination for groups and meetings. With a recent investment of $1 billion in capital and infrastructure both on the mountain and at the resort's Base Village, the timing and welcome of new leadership for the Snowmass group sales effort is ideal. Fred Brodsky, most recently of Las Vegas, Nevada, has been recruited to direct the groups and meetings business development in Snowmass and will begin in his new post full time on April 3, 2011. Until then, Brodsky will work as a contractor with Snowmass Tourism as he concludes business projects in Las Vegas and transitions into his new role.

"Fred brings a tremendous amount of institutional knowledge of the meetings and events industry, with an emphasis in corporate and incentive markets - two segments which complement our existing strengths in association and continuing medical education markets," says Susan Hamley, Snowmass Tourism Director. "Fred will examine our current Group Sales program from strategies to tactics, process and measurement, and collaborate with lodges to identify new ways grow business. We are thrilled to bring Fred on board and to benefit from his demonstrated innovation and creativity."

Brodsky, a self-described lifelong hospitality professional, created and operated three prosperous companies in Las Vegas, one of the biggest and arguably most competitive hospitality markets in the country. In the past decade, Brodsky has been part of a relationship marketing and team building company called AdVenture Group and served as president and owner of Vegas Props, a design and décor company that assists corporations, associations and incentive groups with décor for their events in Las Vegas hotels. Brodsky also served as president and owner of Paramount Destination Services, a destination management company that assists groups with their ground operations in Las Vegas.

"From a professional perspective, the upward growth potential of Snowmass Tourism makes this move an ideal, timely, and an entirely new career challenge," says Brodsky. "All my skills and experience seem to align perfectly with the needs and goals of Snowmass, and I'm honored to be chosen to lead the group sales strategy and to work with the pros in Snowmass Tourism. Not only that, my family and I are ecstatic about the recreational and lifestyle benefits available in Snowmass." Brodsky's wife is an artist, he adds, and the scenic beauty of the Colorado Rocky Mountains will serve as an inspiring new backdrop for her original paintings.

In his new role as Group Sales Director, Brodsky will manage a team of four, including three national sales managers and a group coordinator.
