Treasure Island Resort & Casino Breaks Ground on $86 Million Improvement Project

(ABC 6 News) - More change is coming to the Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Red Wing, Minnesota. The casino broke ground today on an $86 million project that will include hotel towers, restaurant, and a larger water park.

This project will create 300 new hotel rooms, including 60 suites. The current hotel lobby will be renovated and a new restaurant and bar will be built above the existing Island Xtreme Bowling Center. The water park will also add 3,200 feet of space.

The first phase of the project is scheduled to be completed in late 2017, followed by a remodel of the Buffalo Tower in 2018

Earlier this year, Treasure Island opened its new Lagoon Water Park and Wave Spa.
