Meet Minneapolis Launches Social Media Newsroom

Meet Minneapolis, the Official Convention + Visitors Association, today launched its social media newsroom (MSPnewsroom.com) and a social media campaign in response to growing demand for easily accessible content and increased multimedia offerings. Catering to both traditional and social media journalists, these tools will allow Meet Minneapolis to engage users with compelling and interactive content about Minneapolis, Saint Paul and surrounding area.

"As a destination marketing organization and the primary source for information about Minneapolis, we're always looking for innovative ways to share news, and this is a progressive way for our industry to reach the growing world of social media as well as traditional journalists," said Karyn Gruenberg, vice president of marketing for Meet Minneapolis.

Another unique component is that MSPNewsroom.com will be accessible via mobile and handheld devices, allowing reporters to browse content on the go at m.mspnewsroom.com.

"As we gear up for the anticipated 45,000 Republican National Convention attendees -- including 15,000 national and international media -- this September, it's important that we provide them with an easily accessible, one-stop-shop for a wealth of Minneapolis information," said Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak.
