Minnesota Chapter of MPI to host MPI Gala and Excellence in MPI (EMPI) Awards

Minneapolis, MN – Meeting Professionals International Minnesota Chapter (MPI MN) will be hosting the 2011 MPI Gala and Excellence in MPI (EMPI) Awards on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at The Woman’s Club of Minneapolis.

EMPI (Excellence in MPI) Awards are awarded to MPI MN members who exemplify strong support and participation needed to help the chapter and industry grow and succeed. Award categories include Meeting/Event of the Year, Meeting Planner of the Year, Supplier of the Year, Best Supporting Company of the Year, Outstanding Chapter Member of the Year, Rising Star of the Year and Mentor of the Year.
 
The gala starts at 5:00 pm with music, cocktails and bountiful hors d’oeuvres in the Club’s beautifully period-furnished lounge.  After eating, drinking and networking with friends and colleagues, the evening transitions to the Club’s intimate theater for an elegant and energizing awards celebration. The award program will be emceed by popular local personality Jim Cunningham and entertainment will include Twin Cities legend Jearlyn Steele, member of the musical Steele family, and frequent musical guest on A Prairie Home Companion and WCCO Radio talk show host.
