New Lifts and Events for Summer Ops at Colorado's Snowmass Ski Resort

Snowmass, CO - The summer season is now open at Snowmass, and the Colorado ski resort's
summer operations feature some changes both in lifts and special events this year.

For the first time, the Elk Camp Gondola will transport foot passengers and mountain bikers
during the summer months, through Sept. 6. The Elk Camp Gondola will be open 10 a.m. ti 4
p.m. daily with the last ride down at 4:15 p.m. Mountain bikers will have access to 40 miles of
terrain from the gondola with trails for every level of biker. Hikers will have access to all existing trails plus three new trails of varying levels of difficulty from the top of the Gondola. And the Elk Camp Café, at the top of the Elk Camp Gondola, now offers a summer lunch menu with grilled items, fresh sandwiches, salads, a kids menu and more.

Also new this summer, the Elk Camp chairlift (located at the top of the Elk Camp Gondola) will
be open to foot passengers Friday through Sunday, June 25 through Sept. 5. The lift will transport guests to the 11,325-foot summit of the Elk Camp area, accessing gorgeous views of Aspen and Snowmass along with hiking trails.

Aspen Skiing Co. will resume Thursday base village concerts in Snowmass from 4 to 6 p.m.
before each Thursday concert on Fanny Hill, July 1 – Aug. 19. The series will feature local and
regional musicians on the base village plaza. Sneaky’s Tavern will feature specials and the Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center will have free games for children in the Eagle Peak room.

Mountain bikers looking for an adrenaline rush are invited to race in the new Get Down Snowmass Friday Bike Series, a five-week downhill series running July 31 – Aug. 28. The
weekly series invites locals, regional riders and guests alike to showcase their skills on the new
downhill trails from the Elk Camp Gondola down to Snowmass base village. For questions call

Free parking will be available in the Snowmass base village parking garage and Snowmass
Village Mall numbered lots all summer long. The free Sky Cab will be running between base
village and the Snowmass Village Mall daily from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. with extended hours
on Thursdays, running until 10 p.m. due to the Thursday concert series.
