On Tap @ Mystic Craft Beer Fest Debuts
Mystic Lake announces the debut of the On Tap @ Mystic Craft Beer Fest on Saturday, August 9, from 2 to 6 p.m. The outdoor party will feature live music by Pert Near Sandstone and The Dan Band, food trucks, and craft beers from more than two dozen local brewers. Admission includes a t-shirt, coupon book, beer samples and a collectible glass. Festival goers will have the opportunity to vote for the best craft beer in several categories, and the top 12 brewers will each win one month on tap at a Mystic Lake bar.
One of the leaders of the modern American string band movement, Pert Near Sandstone has shared the stage with Del McCoury, Wilco, Yonder Mountain String Band, and appeared on A Prairie Home Companion. Their fifth album, The Hardest Part of Leaving, was released in April.
A comedy band originally started by Dan Finnerty as a drunken joke, The Dan Band has become a nationwide sensation after appearances in the hit films Old School, Starsky & Hutch and The Hangover. They have appeared on numerous TV shows and have released two albums, with a third coming soon on Comedy Central Records.
