QUAD CITIES (KWQC) – The Quad Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau turns 25 this years.

To celebrate the landmark occasion dozens of people from the local hospitality industry, past board members and tourism directors gathered today in Davenport.

Tourism officials say a collaboration of two states and multiple cities has brought the region together as one destination.

“The Quad Cities when we are considered as a region have all the amenities that large cities do, but we have affordable prices,” said Joe Taylor, President and CEO of Quad Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The Quad Cities averages more than 1 million visitors each year.
