Lyft Goes After Business Travel Market

Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) and Lyft announced a new preferred partnership. The agreement delivers on-demand Lyft ground transportation travel to CWT’s business travelers within the United States.

“Giving our clients the best end-to-end traveler experience is our unwavering commitment,” said Jim Hartnett, vice president of global supplier management for CWT. “We are excited about our new Lyft partnership and are focused on delivering best-in-class services for our travelers to reach their destinations.”

CWT is the first major travel management company to partner with Lyft. The rideshare company is available to 95 percent of the U.S. population and is in most airport locations. Lyft and Uber remain competitive in the leisure market and Uber recently increased its presence in the corporate sector, also partnering with travel companies.

“At Lyft, we’re committed to improving people’s lives with the world’s best transportation, and working with Carlson Wagonlit Travel to move business travelers in a safe, easy and affordable way is a natural next step for our work in this space,” said Amit Patel, director of business development for Lyft Business.
