Imagine you’ve chosen the most stunning Minnesota venue with grand architecture, expansive event space, and superior service. Then imagine that the meal you serve in these magnificent surroundings is completely forgettable, or worse, absolutely awful? When choosing your event venue, why not focus on a space that is not only impressive, but known for serving only superior cuisine as well? Consider these Minnesota venues famous for their fare:

Landmark Center

The Venue:  Originally serving as the Federal Court House and Post Office for the Upper Midwest, the historic Landmark Center opened its doors in 1902. The pink granite exterior with hipped red tile roof, numerous turrets, gables, dormers, and corner towers previews the timeless elegance visitors discover inside. With a five-story courtyard lit by skylight and rooms with 20-foot ceilings, it is an impressive space in which to host any event. Featuring nearly 11,000 square feet of meeting and event space, the Landmark offers ample room for any event.

The Fare:  Located within the Landmark Center, Anita’s Café + Catering offers unique breakfast and lunch menus. With a focus on home-style, made-from-scratch cooking, Anita’s is a popular local favorite. In addition to the café, the Landmark Center works with a host of preferred caterers, including notable, award-winning chefs from D’Amico Catering, Mintahoe, and The Saint Paul Hotel.

Envision Event Center

The Venue:  With ample space for as many as 750 guests, the Envision Event Center’s interiors can be transformed from corporate to classic. Operating since 1940, the open and airy layout can be decorated to suit your theme or style with everything from fairy lights to decorative draping.

The Fare:  The award-winning culinary talent at Envision specialize in innovative menus that can be customized to suit your event, including menu options that cater to special dietary considerations, food allergies, or just personal preferences. Known for their artful presentation, they provide cuisine that is fresh, flavored-filled, and as delicious as it is beautiful.

Muse Event Center

The first floor contains the foyer, ideal for a small gathering, along with the ballroom, with space for up to 450. The second-floor loft is a comfortable spot for smaller gatherings, while the Mezzanine level overlooks the ballroom and comfortably accommodates 225. The third-floor Club Room atmosphere is more intimate, but still offers space for as many as 200.

The Fare:  Crave Catering is the exclusive catering partner for the Muse Event Center. Crave’s cuisine is known for pushing the envelope by infusing classic dishes with the newest culinary techniques and flavors. Preparing your feast with the highest quality ingredients, Crave’s on-site kitchens ensures the food is hot and delicious when served.

McNamara Alumni Center

The Venue:  One of the most architecturally-striking buildings in the metro, the McNamara Alumni Center features a pink granite-covered geode exterior with star-shaped glass fissures, an 85-foot tall Memorial Hall with water stream and pool, and 75,000 square feet of copper cover exterior and interior walls. Voted Best Meeting Venue 2007 to 2012, the award-winning center contains many unique meeting spaces for as many as 800 guests.

The Fare:  The McNamara Alumni Center’s in-house caterer, D’Amico Catering, is the Twin Cities’ most awarded caterer. With a full-service kitchen on site, D’Amico serves customized special menus to suit your guests’ needs. From plated and continental breakfasts, to lunches, chef stations, plated dinners and desserts, D’Amico’s creations are always fresh, authentic, and healthy.

Bunker Hills Event Center

Rustic charm is evident throughout the Center along with stunning views of the golf course from the outdoor patio.

The Fare:  On-site catering enables you to offer guests a wide range of cuisines and menu options. Choose from full-plated breakfasts, breakfast service a la carte, continental breakfasts, or even breakfast buffets. Lunch and dinner choices range from casual salads, sandwiches, and wraps to more formal plated entrees of prime rib and filet mignon.

Rush Creek Golf Club

The Venue:  Transformed from farmland into a first-class golf club, Rush Creek still retains breathtaking pastoral and wetland views. Fireplaces grace the elegant ballrooms, while smaller conference rooms offer views of the golf course. Offering space for as many as 400, Rush Creek is committed to the highest level of service for every event, including meetings, conferences, banquets, and golf tournaments.

The Fare:  The Highlander at Rush Creek, with its large, stone fireplace, is known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The focus here is on the most fresh, local, homemade food that their chefs can prepare and serve. Choose from a seasonally-influenced menu with meats that have been smoked on site, fish that have been humanely caught, and hormone and antibiotic-free beef.

The next time you’re tasked with choosing a Minnesotavenue, be sure to ask, “What’s on the menu?” You’ll be glad you did.
