Green Mill CEO buys South Minneapolis event center

FIVE Event Center Minneapolis
Green Mill CEO Paul Dzubnar is part of a group of investors that recently acquired FIVE Event Center, a former Minneapolis police station that dates back to 1895.

Dzubnar is listed as the registered agent for one of three companies involved on the buying side of the $1.6 million transaction, which is dated to Oct. 2, according to a certificate of real estate value filed with the state.

Mankato businessman Mike Drummer is the registered agent for another of the buyers of the Lyn-Lake neighborhood property.

The seller was a company called Crazyhorse, which is registered to real estate developer Bruce Dachis.

The 22,980-square-foot building at 2917 Bryant Ave. S. was initially offered for $2.4 million, according to marketing materials put out by Colliers International.

The property has an underground parking garage, ground-level offices and a 4,680-square-foot bar and lounge, and a 6,300-square-foot event center on the second floor that is equipped with a full-service commercial kitchen and a bar of its own.

It's unclear what the groups plan for the building. Dzubnar and Drummer couldn't be reached for more information.
