Bucks announce plans for new hotel in Deer District

MILWAUKEE- The Deer District is getting another new development.

The space surrounding Fiserv Forum will be home to a new Marriott hotel as early as 2023. The Bucks, along with leaders from the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County made the announcement this morning.

“We’re thrilled to announce the next step in the building of the Deer District,” Bucks President Peter Feigin said Wednesday morning. “To build this neighborhood to a real place where people can live, work, and play over a long period of time.”

The hotel will be located at the corner of Juneau Avenue and Vel R. Phillips Avenue on the northeast corner of the district property.

The team’s partnering with Madison-based North Central Group to build the 200-room hotel. More details on the process can be found here.

NCG currently operates more than 25 hotels under the Hilton and Marriott brands, including the Hilton Garden Inn at the Brookfield Conference Center.

Feigin says groundbreaking is tentatively scheduled to be in the Fall of 2021 with a tentative completion date sometime in 2023.
