Renaissance Des Moines Savery Reopens Downtown

Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel

The Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel reopened following a multimillion-dollar renovation. The hotel’s redesign pays homage to the cultural history of the city in a modern and unexpected way. The property now boasts 209 fully renovated guest rooms and suites; a refreshed lobby that includes a designed timeline of the hotel's 100-year history along with a memorial to the Women's Auxiliary Corps, which was hosted at the Hotel Savery during World War II; and a new restaurant concept.

The historic downtown hotel is connected to the Des Moines Skywalk system and just steps from popular destinations including the Wells Fargo Arena, the Iowa Events Center, the Des Moines Performing Arts Center, Court Avenue Entertainment District, many businesses and steps from East Village.

Off the lobby is Scopri, the hotel's newly inspired, locally-sourced Italian restaurant. Scopri's guests can experience reinvented, hand-crafted culinary classics that pay homage to the local mainstays of Des Moines.

Coda Lounge, also off the lobby, offers crafted cocktails inspired by pre and post prohibition libations. Coda Lounge also features weekly entertainment through the hotels Evenings at Renaissance program.

The renovation has brought interesting artwork within the 12,000 square feet of meetings and event spaces featuring classic looks from the 1940-1950s, juxtaposed with modern furniture pieces to allow guests to experiment with each sense, all refreshing Renaissance branded meetings, R.E.N. Meetings. The function space includes a 3,330-square-foot ballroom that can be divided into two sections and can accommodate 200 for a reception.

Additional hotel amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, staffed on-site business center and an airport shuttle.
