Colorado Mountain Resort Wraps $16M Revamp

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO. The Sheraton Steamboat Resort & Villas in Colorado is ready to unveil more than $16 million in property renovations and upgrades in time to kick off the summer 2014 travel season.

Adding to the winter debut of 56 new Mountain Suites, the Sheraton Steamboat Resort's fitness center has been expanded, and the mountainside pool has been completely redesigned into a welcoming and relaxing oasis.

The pool area now features the addition of stone fireplaces, an in-pool hot tub and cabanas where guests can relax and even enjoy an outdoor massage. Additionally, the pool area now flows directly into the new Breezeway Café, offering poolside drinks, snacks and sandwiches just a few steps away. The fitness center has been expanded, with the addition of new men's and women's locker rooms, steam rooms and Life Fitness cardio and weight equipment.

Guest Room Additions

Located at the base of the mountain and steps from the gondola, the Sheraton Steamboat's addition of the studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom Mountain Suites brings the resort's total room count to 285.

Each of the Mountain Suites features granite countertops, either mini or full kitchens, washer and dryer, five-piece bathrooms, flat-screen TVs and Sheraton Sweet Sleeper II Beds. Many of the suites are designed as "lock-offs" offering guests the option to book lodging similar to a high-end, three-bedroom condominium, but with all of the services and amenities of a hotel.

The Mountain Suites feature a fresh, Colorado Mountain Contemporary style highlighted by natural stone gas fireplaces. Modern kitchens with stainless steel appliances, beautiful cabinetry and granite counter tops flow into spacious sitting areas where custom furniture awaits, complete with built-in outlets designed for the modern traveler.

Natural wood accent tables, distinctive artwork including log slices and photography collages bring in the beauty and serenity of the surrounding mountains. Large soaking tubs, glass-enclosed showers, built-in storage and washer/dryer combos provide added conveniences for longer stays.

Additional Info and Meeting Space

As Steamboat Springs' only ride-in, ride-out full-service hotel, the Sheraton Steamboat Resort is the ideal destination for guests - whether traveling for business or leisure.

These new upgrades, along with the addition of the Mountain Suites are a testament to the resort's dedication to every guest experience. The property also offers more than 25,000 square feet of function space spread across 17 meeting rooms.
