SentryWorld Golf Course to close in 2013 for renovations

STEVENS POINT (WAOW) - A Stevens Point golf course will be closed in 2013 for renovations.

Sentry Insurance sent out a press release announcing that SentryWorld Golf Course will be closed next year. "We are excited to announce our plans for upgrading and enhancing SentryWorld Golf Course," Pete McPartland, Sentry Insurance President and Chief Executive Officer is quoted as saying in the press release. "We believe the changes will provide an even better experience for golfers."

SentryWorld,  a par 72, 6,951-yard public course, is more than 30 years old.

The golf course is expected to reopen in 2014.
