A new hotel is planning to open in Wisconsin Dells next summer, and according to a press release, it "will lean into the state's heritage in a big way, from architecture and interior design to culinary and event space."
It will be named — appropriately — The Wisconsin Hotel.
The "Wisconsin" of the hotel will be most evident in its design aesthetic, which will be reminiscent of classic farm structures. The hotel's restaurant — called Farmer in the Dells — will continue the theme, with seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms and a four-story Silo Bar, which will include an open-air rooftop bar with a view of Mirror Lake State Park.
The hotel will replace the current Wintergreen Hotel, which will remain open until Jan. 6. The Wisconsin Hotel will opening in phases after that, with the entire hotel opening in summer 2025. The hotel is being developed by Waterman Family & Associates, which has played a role in other Wisconsin Dells mainstays, including Great Wolf Lodge and Noah's Ark Waterpark.
“Our concept is of a curated lifestyle hotel that embodies warm Midwest hospitality,” Holly Waterman said in the release. “The vibe will be casual luxury reflecting regional culture, in other words, a cozy retreat where guests can sink in and unwind after a day of activities, share stories, and socialize in a place that has that charming feel of your favorite vacation getaway.”
Amenities of the new hotel will include 111 guest rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, indoor and outdoor fire features, and a corporate event and wedding space large enough for 300 guests.
