Dellshire Resort opens in Wisconsin Dells, with large fire-breathing dragon at the center

WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. — The Wisconsin Dells has a new fantasy-themed resort.

The Dellshire Resort opened earlier this month and features 208 rooms, a 9,000-square-foot family entertainment center, a 70-foot fire-breathing dragon and more.

General manager of the resort Michael Lucero said there’s been quite a buzz for the new lodging option.

“We think we bring a new kind of stay to the Wisconsin Dells, one that will transport people into a medieval world with elevated amenities.

We wanted to create something that feels imaginative and elevated at the same time. With families, groups and couples, they can step into a fantasy world without sacrificing their comforts and luxury and it was intentionally designed to feel immersive,” he said.

Lucero also expanded upon the large dragon, sharing that it was built by a sculptor in Las Vegas and it took four different flatbeds to transport it to Wisconsin.
