Vail Resort Draws Winter Guests With New Features

Vail Resort

The ski-in, ski-out Grand Hyatt Vail in Colorado now has a TopGolf Swing Suite, a Yoshimi pop-up restaurant and a wellness studio.

The 285-room Grand Hyatt Vail, adjacent to Chair 20 on Colorado's Vail Mountain, will debut several new features in December for skiers and nonskiers alike.

Two Topgolf Swing suites will open at the hotel, allowing guests to enjoy dinner while playing virtual golf and other interactive games, such as soccer, zombie dodgeball and hockey. Each suite holds up to 12 people.

A new pop-up restaurant with sushi on the menu will showcase executive chef Pierson Shield’s collaboration with an internationally acclaimed Yoshimi culinary team. For aprés-ski beverages, guests can sample Sapporo on tap, Suntory Highball whiskey and premium sake flights.

The Market Café is expanding with 50 more seats and new fast-casual meal options, such as pizzas made with local ingredients. Three new 75-inch flat-screen TVs will adorn the walls for watching sports and playing on Xbox and PlayStation gaming systems (available on a first-come, first-served basis).

A new 1,045-square-foot wellness studio will offer fitness classes, such as sunrise yoga, restorative yoga ideal for pre- and post-skiing, and barre classes. Guests will be able to try on the resort’s chamber-compression boots from Therabody, which relieve soreness and fatigue while improving circulation.

Up to 10 people will be able to slip into the property's yurt for an early-evening event. Rental of the Moët Imperial Yurt and its two fire pits comes with a champagne sabering, a s’mores kit and a housemade charcuterie spread.

The Grand Hyatt Vail features 40,000 square feet of event space; ski rental, valet and concierge services adjacent to Chair 20 at Venture Sports at Grand Hyatt Vail; a heated creekside infinity-edge pool and two outdoor hot tubs; easy access to the Cascade Village Square with its private ice-skating rink, ice bar and fire pits; and Alpine-inspired spa services at the Spa at Grand Hyatt Vail.
