Bloomington, MN (March 4, 2025) – Bloomington Minnesota Travel & Tourism received the Best Destination Website award at the 2025 Explore Minnesota Tourism Conference in recognition of the new website they launched in October 2024. Chosen as a finalist among destinations from all over Minnesota, BMTT’s website rose to the top due to its user-friendly, modern, and responsive website designed to inspire travel to Bloomington and drive hotel stays.

The new BloomingtonMN.org incorporates several technological enhancements, such as user personalization, language translation, and interactive mapping. It also uses the bright imagery and graphics from BMTT’s new brand, which was unveiled earlier in the year. BMTT worked with several key vendors, including agency of record MMGY Global and local web development company Valtira, to design and execute the new site.

“I am so appreciative of the entire marketing team and their work on our website. It is a fabulous representation of Bloomington and our new brand, and this award is well-deserved,” said Bonnie Carlson, President and CEO.

BMTT launched its new name and visual identity in 2024 after a months-long strategic planning process with key stakeholders. Along with refreshed brand colors and graphics, BMTT unveiled a new logo, which symbolizes how the city is bursting with energy while remaining grounded in its signature approach to customer service. The logo includes references to Bloomington’s star attraction, Mall of America, and BMTT’s signature yearly event, the Diamond Service Awards.

The Best Destination Website award recognition comes as Bloomington and Mall of America are preparing for a busy spring break season. One of the most popular times to visit Mall of America, March and April are filled with special events and limited-time promotions for travelers.
