Baby, It's Cold Outside - Welcoming Warm Winter Iowa Receptions

When the temperature plummets outside, it’s your mission to make sure spirits rise inside. Warm up this year’s winter reception by hosting it in one of these wonderful event centers or unique venues. Each one offers something special that truly brings out the best of the season and enhances your event.

A Beautiful Sight, We’re Happy Tonight

Not only is the Grand River Center gorgeous in the summertime, but when blanketed in wintertime snow, this picturesque setting can be just as breathtaking. Snuggled up to the shore of the grand Mississippi River and overlooking the scenic bluffs of historic Dubuque, the center offers several group meeting spaces for as many as 3000 guests. What’s more, on-site catering offers mouthwatering culinary creations and hot drinks to welcome guests in the most festive way possible.

It’s The Most Wonderful Time

Are you in search of a wide open space with lots of room for socializing and interaction? Then it might be wise to explore the Clay County Regional Events Center. Your guests will have the most wonderful time in the world-class facility that promises to “Deliver Outstanding Experiences!” The venue includes a 7600 sq. ft. grand ballroom and 24,000 sq. ft. arena/exhibit hall with column free, clear-span space and no visual or physical obstructions.

Deck the Halls

With dramatic architecture, spectacular interiors, and a spacious atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else, the Iowa Events Center offers you a choice of three impressive venues - Wells Fargo Arena, Hy-Vee Hall, and Community Choice Credit Union. Whether you need space for 50 or 500, the complex has the right room for you. On-site catering is supplied exclusively by Spectra Food Services and Hospitality, renowned for superb cuisine and fine service.

Oh, What Fun It Is

Combine your reception with culture and theater at one of the most magnificent spaces available in the Quad Cities — The RiverCenter/Adler Theater. This elegant venue will comfortably accommodate your guests with its more than 100,000 square feet of event space, the attached Radisson Quad City Plaza, the Hotel Blackhawk, and the historic art-deco Adler Theater. The beautifully restored theater presents a diverse line up of live, theatrical productions starring celebrity headliners, first-rate Broadway shows, comedians, and more.

Dashing Through the Snow

Expect to see a holiday card come to life at Living History Farms. The classically rustic center features exposed beams, skylights, brick, inlaid wood, and windows looking out to the 1875 town of Walnut Hill. Inside, the Great Hall holds 150 people seated with tables, or 330 standing. French doors open to a stone courtyard surrounded by evergreen trees for scenic views of snow-covered landscape that makes for a cozy winter wonderland.

‘Tis the Season to Be Jolly

Invite your guests to have a jolly good time amidst a backdrop of contemporary architecture, glass facades, expansive views and spacious interiors of the Mid-America Center.  With 64,000 square feet of meeting space, the center also features upscale shops, outstanding restaurants, exciting casino gaming, and over 4000 hotel rooms within three miles. When your festivities are happening here, we’re sure your guests won’t want the event - or the season - to end.
